Project Completed: Custom Jib Crane Installation for Steel Fabrication Facility
Phoenix Lifting recently delivered a fully integrated lifting solution for a steel fabrication business, involving the installation of six jib cranes rated at 500kg SWL and one 3,000kg SWL jib crane with enhanced slewing functionality.
Working closely with the client, Phoenix Lifting provided expert guidance on the effective design and optimal positioning of each crane to maximise workspace coverage and lifting efficiency. This collaborative planning ensured that the system seamlessly aligned with the facility’s operational layout and material flow requirements.
Each crane was equipped with a Hitachi electric chain hoist and powered trolley, while the 3-tonne jib crane featured a motorised slewing drive with full 360-degree rotation, delivering precise and effortless load handling across a wide working radius.
All units were installed on engineered concrete foundations, completed prior to installation and designed in accordance with AS 1418 standards. Phoenix managed the project from initial design consultation through to mechanical installation, electrical integration, and commissioning.
